If you have suffered a personal injury as a result of a road traffic accident and decided to make a claim through the Official Injury Claim portal you are required to have a medical examination with an accredited medical expert.
The medical expert will provide a report on your injuries which the compensator will then use to make you an offer.
We are approved by Medco and the Official Injury Claim service to produce medical reports for people injured in road traffic accidents. With a nationwide panel of accredited medical experts we will always find the right expert for you, providing a local, convenient appointment.

Obtaining Your Medical Report
The cost of the report will be met by the Compensator and we will not ask you for payment at
any time.
Your Examination
The aim of the examination is to have your injuries assessed by an independent medical expert who will then prepare a report on the likely course of the injuries and how they have affected your daily life.
The expert will ask general questions about your accident circumstances and the injuries sustained. You will need to mention:
- The impact the injuries have had on your life
- Any time taken off work
- Any treatment you have received
At the examination, you will be required to present one form of ID such as your passport or driving license. The examination will last approximately 15 minutes.

Roles and Responsibilities
E-medicals
- We are responsible for arranging your medical examination with an independent and accredited medical expert.
- We will ensure the medical report is uploaded into the Official Injury Claim portal.
- We will ensure all our correspondence is accurate and timely keeping you fully updated at all times.
- We will be available to support you and be on hand to answer any questions you have.
Medical expert
- Is responsible for conducting the examination and providing an independent opinion based on the facts of the case.
- The medical expert’s primary responsibility is to the court.

You
- As an unrepresented claimant, it is your responsibility to provide truthful and accurate information about your accident and injuries.
- It is your responsibility to attend your medical examination.
- It is your responsibility to provide ID at the medical examination (passport / driving license).
- It is your responsibility to check the medical report for factual inaccuracies and missing information.
Unrepresented Claimant Service Levels
1. We will instruct the medical expert within 24 hours of receipt of your claim details from the Official Injury Claim portal.
2. The examination will take place within 20 days of receipt of instruction.
3. The medical report will be uploaded to the Official Injury Claim portal within 5 working days of the examination.
4. Report amendments will be completed within 10 days of request.
5. We will respond to all correspondence within 24 hours.
